March 27, 2008: Non-Profit Subsidy Request Deadlines Implemented
Booking Procedure:
The Palm Theatre may be booked on a time-and-space availability basis. Any applicant wishing to use the Palm shall submit a booking request form to the Theater Manager. Booking requests must be submitted at least 30 days in advance of the proposed activity/performance.
Upon approval of the requested dates, the Facilities Use Agreement will be prepared by the Facilities Coordinator. The executed Use Agreement and required deposit must be returned within seven days. Bookings are not confirmed until completion of the following:
Access & Inclusions:
Use of the Palm may include access to the upper and lower lobbies, the box office, the main stage and audience seating areas, dressing rooms, restrooms and loading dock. Each part of the Facility requested must be specified in the initial booking request. Additional services and equipment included in the Base Theater Rental include the following:
Oversight of the Technical Director for one hour and one front-of-house staff person for the duration of the performance or previously agreed time.
A basic wash of light on the front of the stage
Two microphones
Use of the dressing and makeup areas
Conductor's podium and speaker's lectern
Playback equipment: cassette, CD, DAT or mini-disc
Sound monitor on stage if needed
Basic custodial services (not to exceed 3 hours in duration). Additional custodial services are normally required if food concessions are to be available.
Additional items may be available to Facility users on an additional fee basis, in accordance with the current Fee Schedule. Only qualified persons may operate district’s equipment.
